What is included
In the adoption fee
Your adoption fee will depend on the breed, age, and training of the animal.
The approximate cost for necessary animal care is $175. This cost includes a wellness exam, and necessary vaccinations for diseases like Rabies, Distemper, Parvovirus, and Bordetella (kennel cough preventative). Your pet will also receive a flea and tick treatment, fecal test and deworming treatments, and will be spayed and neutered by trusted professionals.
A Requirement to Keep in Mind
Are you a good match?
Even though you might want to save a pet, understand that there’s a chance you may not be a suitable candidate. For this reason, shelters do a thorough assessment of a pet’s new living circumstances before the animal leaves the shelter. The goal is for the animal to go to a loving family that has the desire, ability, and accountability to provide for this new family member. Personality match and temperament count! The adoption process includes an interview that probes into your personal life to ensure that your future furry family member is a good fit.
